Emraan Hashmi announced his first home production, Captain Nawab, this morning. The actor also revealed the first look of the film that is being directed by Tony D’Souza. The poster sees Emraan dressed in the Army uniform – interestingly, half the uniform is of the Indian Army and the other half of Pakistan, presumably to denote the cross-border journey that Emraan’s character undertakes in the film.
But one look at the poster and we had a sense of déjà vu. A quick research and lo, what do we have here! Captain Nawab’s poster bears a striking resemblance to the poster of the popular video game, Call Of Duty Black Ops. See for yourself.
Call Of Duty Black Ops is a hugely popular first-person shooter video game that was released in 2010 and is one of the best-selling games of all time.
Coming back to the similarity in the posters. Is it a mere case of coincidence or yet another instance of Bollywood being ‘inspired’? That’s something only Emraan & Co can explain.
